2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? What is your favorite thing about him/her?

I have a number of favorite characters. I admire Andromeda Tonks for her firm beliefs, and her willingness to stand by her beliefs and morals even if that means abandoning her family and her way of life. I admire Bellatrix Lestrange or her loyalty to the cause she believes in, though I do not approve of her actions. I admire Regulus Black for owning up to his mistakes and for sacrificing his life to help others. I admire the Weasley twins for making their dreams a reality, and for bringing joy and laughter to a community in dire need of both.


3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?

I believe my strongest quality is my intelligence, since it opens up so many doors.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?

My worst quality is that I tend to over-analyze, which sometimes holds me back.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?

My relationship with my friends and family is good, and I tend to be loyal. I usually to form bonds quickly but rarely. I deal with others in a friendly manner, but analyze them in my head. though I try to be fair.

6. Do you prefer group work, or working alone?

7. When making difficult decisions you:
a. You take a lot of time to deliberate
b. You act quickly
c. You think with your head
d. You think with your heart

8. Would you rather help a friend and sacrifice something you care for deeply, or let that friend work it out on their own and use your time to keep what it is you would lose otherwise? Why do you feel this way?

I would let that friend work it out on their own, unless they were in an extremely serious situation, since I think we should all
handle our own lives and not expect others to make huge sacrifices apart from your family.


9. What matters more, the answer or the work it takes to get the answer?

Although the work does matter, the answer is more important, although the work is important so that you learn how to find similar answers in the future.

10. What traits do you love or hate about each house? Must have at least one (love and/or hate) for every house.

Slytherin- I love their ability to manipulate a situation and make it benefit them and I love that they have confidence and are able to influence the people around them. I hate that they are rude to the other houses and don't make friends with people from the other houses.
Gryffindor- I love how easygoing and open they are. I hate how hard-headed they are, how little control they have of their emotions, how quick to judge they are and how quickly they jump into situations before analyzing them.
Hufflepuff- I love how loyal they are to their friends and how kind they are. I hate how unambitious they are and the fact that they are not prone to analytical thought, and how blindly trusting they are and how unassuming they are.
Ravenclaw- I love how intelligent they are and how motivated. I hate how they are not open to goofing off once in a while and just letting go and not worrying about how intelligent you appear.

- The headmistress invited me.

2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? What is your favorite thing about him/her?

- My favorite character is Severus Snape because his character is so complicated and mysterious -- it's perfect for fanfictions!

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?

I'm stubborn. If I don't want to do something for a good reason, I won't change unless I've given a very good reason to do so, but at the same time, I'm open to ideas. I believe this is good because I was raised to have a mind of my own.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?

- I'm not much of a people-person. I dislike it because it makes most people have a bad view of me -- they never talk to me to find out why I don't talk to them, and judge me because of it.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?

I'm close to my immediate family and my friends and I are comfortable enough to talk about anything. Because of this, we've shared things with each other that others wouldn't want to know, and I know they won't judge me because of it. I tend to ignore or be friendly to my 'enemies', mostly because I believe in karma and then they can't make me the bad guy (they continue to be mean, it's THEM that looks bad). I tend to take a long time to begin to form bonds with people and I generally just deal with people by avoiding them.

6. Do you prefer group work, or working alone?

Working alone, nearly all of the time.

7. When making difficult decisions you:

a. You take a lot of time to deliberate

If it's one of my REAL friends, one that I know won't leave me, I'd sacrifice something for them to help. I know that they'd do they same for me if it was within their capabilities.

9. What matters more, the answer or the work it takes to get the answer?

The work it takes to get there . . . that's often the fun part.

10. What traits do you love or hate about each house? Must have at least one (love and/or hate) for every house.

Slytherin --
Good - Willing to do what they need to do when it's necessary
Bad - Can sometimes do what they need to do when it's NOT necessary

Ravenclaw --
Good - The love of the satisfaction of solving a problem
Bad - Sometimes look to closely at the details when it's the big picture that needs the attention

Gryffindor
Good - The urge to do the right thing -- sometimes, you just have to just for the sake of it being the right thing
Bad - Tend to overlook the whole gray-issue with good and bad

Hufflepuff
Good - They stick by the people they care about
Bad - Perhaps overlook a person's flaws in a not-so-good way

Sorting Hat

I was actually a member here a long time ago but I lost my internet so now I’m back. My former name was Sky Black

2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? What is your favorite thing about him/her?
My favorite character of all time is Sirius Black. I just love how attentive he was to Harry without crowding him. I also loved the fact that he was willing to do anything for his godson. Also loved that he turned into a dog as his animagus form.

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?
My strongest quality is my bravery. I am brave to a fault sometimes and I would die for those who I loved.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?
My worst quality is my heart. I care too much about everyone and that tends to get me into trouble. I would die for a lot of people, though they wouldn’t do the same for me.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?
I tend to stick with a close group of friends, though I am friendly with everyone. I tend to be nice to most people, though my enemies are definitely not high up on my ‘favorite people’. I’m not rude, but I’m protective of those I love. ‘Hurt me, I’ll forgive you once. Hurt those that I love, watch out.’

6. Do you prefer group work, or working alone?
Depends on the situation. Adventures, games, etc. I like to work in a group. When it comes to homework, I tend to work by myself.

7. When making difficult decisions you:
b. You act quickly- I tend to act quickly and sometimes rush into things without thinking of the ups and downs of my decisions.

I’d rather help a friend and sacrifice something I care about. I would do anything for those who I loved.

9. What matters more, the answer or the work it takes to get the answer?
The work it takes to get there. You learn more about yourself and others in times of danger than you do just waiting for the answers to come to you.

10. What traits do you love or hate about each house? Must have at least one (love and/or hate) for every house.

-Gryffindor-
Love- The closeness of the entire group. All are brave and are willing to do what they need to do to protect their loved ones.
Hate (not really hate, but bad I guess)- Sometimes jumping into things without thinking of them through.

-Slytherin-
Love- Sneakiness. It helps with some stuff.
Hate- The fact that Slytherins in general don’t get along with the other houses.

-Hufflepuff-
Love- The fact that they deny no one. That they are willing to allow anyone.
Hate- That sometimes they need to stand up for themselves a little bit more and make their house more known.

-Ravenclaw-
Love- The intelligence of the entire group.
Hate- Sometimes they tend to be snotty because they know more than others do.

My favorite character in the books is Tonks because I've always liked her character and how she can change her appearnce and what not.

I think my strongest quality is that I try to be nice and friendly to everyone. It's a good quality because, most people like people who are nice XD.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?
I think my worst quality is that sometimes I say things without thinking about them and that can hurt other peoples feelings.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?
I think I have a good relationship with my family and friends. I don't really have any enemies that I know of. I don't think I form bonds very quickly, but I definitely don't stay away from them. I'm usually really shy around people who I don't know.

I think they both matter. Because, you want to know the answer, but you also need to work hard to figure it out.

Hufflepuff: Love: Friendliness Hate: People tend to underestimate them.

2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? Severus Snape Because he was a superb Occlumens and hid his loyalty to Dumbledore from Voldemort. He’s a dark person. What is your favorite thing about him/her? Is his skills in teaching and loyalty.

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one? I’m laid-back, It’s a good quality because it shows you don’t over react to problems and life.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it? I’m sarcastic, At time people cant tell I’m joking and at times people get upset.

Ginny Weasley, she is tougher than she seems, having been the only girl with all brothers, and learned survival, while keeping her own personality and spirit.

Empathy, it allows me to help others, but can be a useful weapon and protection as well. However, I prefer using it with animals, as humans are complicated and often painful.

Empathy, as I can feel things others try to hide, and while it can be useful, and helpful, it often results in overwhelming confusion and pain for me. I cannot always block it out, or tell whose emotions are mine or anothers.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?
Depends on the person. I give all a chance, but if I get a bad feeling off them, they get one chance. Otherwise, I give them all fair chances to earn my trust, and once given, it is nearly imposible to lose my loyalty as a friend.

Depends on who I am working with. I am sensitive to people, so to work with them well, I would have to have like minded people, otherwise I prefer solitude, with prefered small circle of friends.

Depends, if it needs action, I act fast, if it needs thought, I think. I generally go with my heart after consulting my head.

If my friend needs it that badly, I would suffer the loss, but not regret it. If they are simply having difficulty with confidence, I would help them along, but only so far as they needed before they could see they can do it themselves.

Both.

Slytherin: Hate:Blood pride, reminds me of Hitler, too much can be put on the value of a persons blood history over their personality. Love, you have to admit, they do stick together, right or wrong.
Gryphendor: Like Pardonable pride, loyalty to all who are worthy, and not just themselves:Hate, Again, the pride. They can let it come between them and true understanding, and can be very hardheaded.
Ravenclaw: Love: their love of learning, :Hate:tend to be closeminded and withdrawn to themselves, not too willing to allow outside houses close.

Hufflepuff: Like: accepts almost anyone, regardless of heritage: Hate:kinda pushovers, don't seem to have a stand, and can therefor fall for anything.

It was malfoymistress who asked on TFC and sent me a hyperlink, so i'm trying this out

2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? What is your favorite thing about him/her?

My favourite character is Luna, as i see myself in her. She has brains, obviously, but she is like an aquired taste with her own views who doesn't care what other people think or are like as she is her own person

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?

My ability to turn a situation round. I mainly use it in debates and arguments, but it also works when i friend is down and is certain nothing can help them. I've been referred to as an agony aunt more times than i would like to admit. then my favoutrite way of using it is to stress my point physically as we start to involve fists. many a time someone has backed down once given a seeing to by me.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?

i can be easily angered and that can make me act irrationally and explode over the smallest of things. it is that which makes about 70% of the school hate me (and no i am not overembellishing here...this is the god-honest truth)

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?

With my friends, we are really close and always look out for each other. we are all a bit different that we see ourselves as part of one big engine that would be called the perfect human. we have a pact with each other to never let anything be considered more important then our friendship, except in the case of family for everyone minus me.

Family is rather topsy-turvy, and has been since the day i was born. i would rather not say any more on that subject

Enemies make up a large proportion of the people i know. i said before, i am an aquired taste and people who haven't the patience end up hating me. its fine, because i hate them too, so everybody's happy...kinda

6. Do you prefer group work, or working alone?

It depends entirely on the work involved but mainly alone as that way there is no one to hide behind if it goes wrong and no one can steal your thunder

i would help the friend hands down, as i have made a pact to always help them and to remain friends. and if i was to lose something i care for, i'm sure i could find a loophole to keep it anyway

Claws- L: the founder and Luna H: that everyone is stereotyping them as boffs/geniuses/geeks/know-it-alls etc. i have far too much stick of that myself. if anyone from Woodkirk is reading this, I AM NOT A WALKING, TALKING ENCYLOPEDIA...GOT IT!?!?!?!
Puffs- L: HWD (Hufflepuff World Domination), the fact that not much is expected from them as it is so much more rewarding once we beat opposistion, and the fact i'm one on TFC. H:being called the bee group, nothings or people being derogotoary to the house
Slys- L: the evil persona as i do see myself in Hell when i die H: their stupidity on thinking themselves superior

Malfoy Mistress invited me from Third Floor Corridor.

2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? What is your favorite thing about him/her?

My favorite character seems to evolved over time as the story became deeper and more serious. At first, it was Hagrid because he took care of his friends. Then it became Neville's mother because she was able to resist the Death Eaters for so long in an attempt to protect her son, but was eventually tortured into insanity. She still, however, tries to give her son a gift when he visits. Ultimately, my favorite character turned out to be Minerva McGonnagall because of her faith in Dumbledore and the way she stood strong against the Death Eaters even after all hope seemed lost.

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?

I think my strongest quality is my perceptiveness. I can see both sides to an argument or view an entire situation at one time and accurately give advice or input to those who need it.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?

I am a coward. I can't tolerate pain and I don't like it when people get mad at me. It gives me a low self esteem so I suck up and go out of my way to please people out of fear that they won't accept me.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?

I don't really care for my family all too much. There's too much fighting within it. I make small friendships fast, but to make a trusting, lasting friendship can take a while, unless I have a strong feeling that they are trustworthy, and I haven't been wrong yet. Enemies take a very long time to make.

6. Do you prefer group work, or working alone?

I prefer to work alone, that way I don't get bad grades for others' bad work and they don't get my bed grade if I do a bad job.

7. When making difficult decisions you:

a. You take a lot of time to deliberate - I usually take forever to make important decisions, taking time to balance out the pros and cons, and sometimes even take too much time and don't get to make the decision at all.

It depends on the friend. If I don't think they're worth my time then I really try to worm my way out of helping them, but if it's someone I truly believe is a friend that will last, I'll drop whatever I'm doing to help them.

I think both are equally important because without the work, you wouldn't reach the answer and without the answer, the work would be useless.

Luna because of her crazy ways and her cute little quirky personality.

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?
I listen well, and I believe this is a good quality because I like helping people and having them open up to me.

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?
I’m really shy. I dislike this quality because it makes me feel like I can’t talk to people at times, I even get nervous going to, for example, a counter in a food place and ordering something. I hope I grow out of it.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?
I’m really shy, and I don’t really talk to people much when I first meet them. For this reason, the bonds are not formed quickly. With family, I kind of trust them right away so those bonds are formed quickly. I don’t really have many enemies but those enemy bonds aren’t formed right away. It takes awhile for me to realise I don’t like someone. Unless, of course, the person does something to me personally.

6. Do you prefer group work, or working alone?
Working alone.

7. When making difficult decisions you:
a. You take a lot of time to deliberate
c. You think with your head

I never rush into action before making a decision and I find a balance of thinking with my head and emotions.

I’d find a balance. I’d try to help that person work through it without giving up what I have. If that didn’t work, I’d probably not sacrifice the thing I care for.

The work it takes to get the answer. If you just randomly find out the answer without going through the process, you miss out on a lot of information.

Gryffindor: love: the courage. I wish I could have it but I’m not courageous at all.
hate: they seem kinda stubborn.

Ravenclaw: love: the willingness to learn. Information is important.
hate: they could get more attention in the books/movies

Hufflepuff: love: the ability to listen and be hard workers
hate: they could get more attention in the books/movies

Slytherin: love: the ambition
hate: they seem kinda evil...

2. Who is your favorite character in the books, and why is this so? What is your favorite thing about him/her? Severus Snape, as he has the most fascinating comments to make, and he's one uber bouncy Potions Master.

3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one? My strongest quality is my integrity. I am not usually a bender of rules, and I will do things the way they are supposed to be done, even if someone else is telling me to do it different. I would never do anything illegal except speed lol ;) .

4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it? My temper, because it gets me into a lot of trouble at work. I have a hard time being a "yes" person when I know someone is wrong.

5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others? Honestly, most people don't really like me cause I can be a really hard person to get along with. My friends are my friends naturally, but when I don't like you, you'd better watch out. I can make your life miserable. My family and I don't talk.

That's why they're my friend. If it's not a close friend, depending on the situation, I still might help them.

::My favorite is Hermione because we share so many qualities, views, and know what it feels like to sometimes be outside looking in.

:: My strongest quality would be loyalty and most would think its a really good one but one can't imagine the many hard decisions I have to make and the amount of trouble it gets me into.

::My worst quality is that I bend over backwards for people because I care about what they think. It sucks because it involves a lot of work and nothing to show for it.

::Wow, term paper question. My relationships last forever with family. With friends, they end when they can't be fixed anymore. Enemies, what enemies 0:) I form bonds quickly but not like a social butterfly. I deal with others...well let's just say i always play nice.

::Work alone, no difference in opinion so work is done in half the time.

My favorite character in the books would have to be Luna Lovegood. My favorite thing about her is that she is willing to believe in something the others do not, and her courage in confronting others who ridicule her beliefs.


3. Which would you say is your strongest quality, and why do you believe it is a good one?

My strongest quality, I would have to say, would have to be my lack of internal monologue, because good or bad, no one has any illusions as to what I think of them.


4. Which would you say is your worst quality, and why do you dislike it?

My worst quality would have to be my inability to tell the truth when asked an important question. I dislike it because when I am telling the truth, no one believes me.


5. How would you describe your relationships with friends, family, and enemies? Do you form bonds quickly, or tend to stay away from them? How do you deal with others?

I am very loyal to those i consider friends, although i do not have many, I consider many who would consider themselves friends merely as aquaintances, but I would take a bullet for any one of my friends and family.

I prefer working alone.
